Description
New data on γ γ → π+π- and π0π0 admit an amplitude analysis whereby two-photon couplings of the I = 0 scalars and of the f2(1270) can be extracted in a much more model independent way than hitherto. Alternative trial forms respecting known properties at low energies and of final state interactions are fitted to the data. The ensuing resonance couplings span a much wider range than is commonly supposed. The best fits correspond to solutions with a relatively large S-wave coupling (∼ 8KeV) through the f2-region. All fits have an S* coupling of about 1/2 keV
