Solvent extraction of sulfuric acid and zirconium sulfates with n-dodecyl aniline

  • 1. Moskovskij Khimiko-Tekhnologicheskij Inst. (USSR)

Description

Solvent extraction properties of primary aromatic, amine n-dodecyl aniline (DDA) in relation to H2SO4 and zirconium at various H2SO4 concentrations are studied. Maximum Zr extraction into organic phase is observed in the case of H2SO4 initial concentration 0.1 mole/l in the solution at the initial Zr concentration in the solution up to 8kg/m3 DDA can be used for complete Zr extraction from diluted sulfuric acid solutions, the compound Zr(OH)2SO4(DDAH)2x4H2O being formed in the organic phase. Infrared spectra of the organic phase are obtained during the Zr extraction
