Saskatchewan's role in radiotherapy research
Description
Saskatchewan has led the world in radiotherapy for cancer. The first therapeutic betatron was installed in the University of Saskatoon in 1948, followed by the first therapeutic cobalt-60 unit (built by Atomic Energy of Canada Limited) in 1951
