Description

Based on knowledge on embrittlement mechanism and reactor surveillance test data, neutron irradiation correlation method for reactor pressure vessel materials had been developed. This method modeled the microstructural change due to irradiation (formation of copper-enriched cluster and matrix damage) and the mechanical property changes due to microstructural change and more accurate embrittlement correlations were formulated by reaction kinetics equations.
