Description
Parametric instability of electrostatic oscillations in a semi-infinite plasma subjected to electromagnetic radiation is studied. The possibility of the parametric decay of evanescent photon is pointed out. The threshold power of the incident radiation for this process is obtained by using the reductive perturbation method.
