Coexistence curve of D2O + deuterated isobutyric acid

Description
We report precise data on the densities of the coexisting liquid phases near the liquid-liquid critical point in D2O + deuterated isobutyric acid. The result for the critical exponent β(0.315 +- 0.008) is consistent with our earlier work on H2O + isobutyric acid, with other work on critical points in fluids, and with current theoretical preductions. The effect of deuteration is to increase the miscibility gap. (orig.)

Wir geben praezise Fakten ueber die Dichte koexistierender Phasen in der Naehe des fluessig-fluessigen kritischen Punktes in D2O + deuterierter Isobuttersaeure an. Das Ergebnis fuer den kritischen Exponenten β(0,315 +- 0,008) stimmt mit unseren frueheren Arbeiten ueber H2O + Isobuttersaeure, mit anderen Arbeiten ueber kritische Punkte in Fluessigkeiten, und mit heutigen theoretischen Vorhersagen ueberein. Der Effekt der Deuterierung ist die Vergroesserung der Mischungsluecke. (orig.)Additional details
