Photoinduced and Rayleigh light scattering in LiTaO3:Cr
Description
Photoinduced scattering of light (PISL) in lithium tantalate crystals doped with chromium is observed. Nonstationary Rayleigh scattering of light is found. The observed phenomena were followed by occurrence of optical damage and photochromium effect in the crystal. It is supposed that PISL nature is conditioned by formation of noise holographic lattices with a nonphotovoltaic recording mechanism
