Excitation functions for complete fusion and transfer reactions in interaction of 4He nuclei with 197Au

Description
Excitation functions have been measured for the fusion reaction 197Au(4He, xn)201-xnTl with the evaporation of x neutrons (0 ≤ x ≤ 3) in the energy range 14-36 MeV. The induced-activation method was used for registration and identification of the reaction products. The experimental cross sections for the fusion reaction with following evaporation from one up to three neutrons are in good agreement with the results known from literature. For the radiation capture reactions 197Au(4He, γ)201Tl, the upper limit was obtained essentially lower. The excitation functions for the measured reactions are compared with calculations in the frame of the statistical model, as well as with formerly measured similar with a 6He beam
Abstract (Russian)
Измерены функции возбуждения реакций слияния с испарением x нейтронов 197Au(4He, xn)201-xnTl (0 ≤ x ≤ 3) при взаимодействии α-частиц с ядрами золота в диапазоне энергий 14-36 МэВ. Для регистрации и выделения продуктов реакций использовался метод наведенной активности. Экспериментальные данные для реакций слияния с последующим испарением от одного до трех нейтронов согласуются с результатами опубликованных работ. Для реакции радиационного захвата 197Au(4He, γ)201Tl верхняя граница сечения оказалась существенно ниже. Функции возбуждения измеренных реакций сравниваются с расчетами по статистической модели и с результатами ранее проведенного на пучке 6He экспериментаAdditional details
