Description
The radiopharmaceutical production aspects as seen by the industrial manufacturer are given. Starting with the radionuclide, the four basic principles of the synthesis of a radiopharmacon, isotope exchange, foreign labelling, constructive stepwise synthesis, and biosynthesis are described. The investigation of the toxicological effects of the compound in animal experiments is given as an essential part of the development. Apart from the collecting of pharmacological and toxicological data, the importance of controlling the quality of medicaments prior to putting these into production is pointed out, and some possible applications of radionuclides in nuclear medicine are shown. Es werden Aspekte der Radiopharmakaproduktion aus der Sicht des industriellen Herstellers dargestellt. Ausgehend vom Radionuklid werden die vier Grundprinzipien der Synthese eines Radiopharmakons, der Isotopenaustausch, die Fremdmarkierung, die aufbauende stufenweise Synthese und die Biosynthese beschrieben. Als wesentlicher Bestandteil der Entwicklung wird die Untersuchung der toxikologischen Wirkungen der Verbindung im Tierversuch angefuehrt. Neben der Sammlung pharmakologisch-toxikologischer Daten wird die Bedeutung der Qualitaetskontrolle des Arzneimittels vor der Uebergabe an die Produktion hervorgehoben und einige Anwendungsmoeglichkeiten der Radionuklide in der Nuklearmedizin werden aufgezeigt.
