NPP economical efficiency and safety as the main problems of the Atomehnergoproekt institute
Description
Paper deals with a brief description of the Atomehnergoproekt Research Institute (the AEP) activity and plans of future development. The AEP is involved in efforts to update the operating NPPs, to complete construction of the mothballed NPPs and to construct new ones. Designs of new NPPs is based on application of advanced reactors equipped with new safety systems. Computer-aided design and quality control system have found their wide application in the efforts undertaken by the AEP engineering and technical personnel

Цель статьи - кратко описать деятельность института Атомэнергопроект (АЭП) и дальнейшие перспективы его развития. Задачами АЭП является модернизация действующих АЭС, достройка законсервированных и строительство новых. Проекты новых АЭС базируются на усовершенствованных реакторах, использующих новые системы безопасности.
