Thermal stability and crystallization kenetics in Fe84B16-xSix amorphous alloys

Description
Thermal stability, crystallization kinetics and structural changes in amorphous alloys Fe84B16-xSix, where x=0, 2, 4 and 6 at.%, have been studied by the methods of electric resistance and X-ray diffraction during isothermal annealing and heating at a constant rate. The results obtained permit to assume that silicon substitution for boron atoms in amorphous alloy Fe81B16 up to 4 at.% suppresses nucleation and thus increases thermal stability of the alloy
