Description

The general theory of inhomogeneous compartments with age-dependent elimination rates is illustrated by examples. Mathematically, it turns out that models consisting of partial differential equations include ordinary, delayed and integro-differential equations, a general fact which is treated here in the context of linear tracer kinetics. The examples include standard compartments as a degenerate case, systems of standard compartments (compartment blocks), models resulting in special residence time distributions, models with pipes, and systems with heterogeneous particles. Abstract (German)

Die Allgemeine Theorie inhomogener Compartments mit altersabhaengigen Eliminationsraten wird durch Beispiele illustriert. Aus mathematischer Sicht ergibt es sich, dass Modelle, die aus partiellen Differentialgleichungen bestehen, auch mit gewoehnlichen DGL, retardierten DGL und Intregrodifferentialgleichungen umfassen; dieser allgemeine Tatbestand wird im Zusammenhang der linearen Tracertheorie behandelt. Die Beispiele betreffen Standardcompartments (Compartment-Blocks), Modelle fuer spezielle Verweilzeitverteilungen, Modelle mit Roehren und Systeme mit heterogenen Elementen. (orig./BBR)
