Report of the nuclear physics working group
Description
The Nuclear Physics Working Group met during two afternoon sessions of the Workshop to discuss the opportunities and directions for nuclear physics research that will be offered by LAMPF II. Principal topics of discussion were hypernuclear physics, double strangeness exchange and the nuclear response to the mesonic probes, K and π, and the baryonic probes p and anti p at LAMPF II energies. The final session was capped by a roundtable discussion on New Directions in the Microscopic Description of Nuclei Offered by LAMPF II. The Working Group report and summary is presented as prepared by the chairmen
