Nature of the doublet in free biexciton emission in AgBr

Description
Photoluminescence (PL) spectra of ArBr monocrystals, grown from melt in Ba vapors were investigated. Continuous He-Cd (λ = 441.6 nm) and pulsed N2 (λ 337.1 nm) lasers were used for PL excitation. It is shown that interdomain exciton transfer in highly excited AgBr crystals leads to a new channel of radiative decay of free biexcitons
