Review of hadron production in deep inelastic lepton scattering
Description
Recent results from hadron production in deep inelastic muon and neutrino scattering are reviewed. There is now evidence from μp interactions for a Q2 dependence of the charged multiplicity at fixed W. Also non zero < cos Φ > effects have been observed for both ν and μ final states. Recent data allow a critical analysis of the existence of the higher twist effect predicted by Berger. A comparison of the Lund, independent jet and firestring models with the high energy μp data is also made. Finally the possibility of a threshold dependent intrinsic charm component of the nucleon is discussed
