Leaching of ruthenium metal and its concentrates by ethanol-acetate solutions
- 1. Leningradskij Tekhnologicheskij Inst., Leningrad (Russian Federation)
Description
The state of ruthenium after leaching of alkali-peroxide cakes of ruthenium in ethanol-acetate solutions has been studied by the methods of gel-chromatography, cyclic voltammetry and absorption spectroscopy. It has been ascertained that in the course of leaching ruthenium passes to solution nearly completely in the form of green acetate of ruthenium(3) existing in two forms, which differ in location of ligands, second sphere molecules or ions. Electrochemical oxidizing of the green ruthenium acetate in the range of potentials 0.0-1.4 V occurs reversibly without any change in the triclinic frame. 15 refs., 4 figs., 1 tab
