Kinetics of growth of dislocation loops in aluminium in irradiation in the high-voltage electron microscope

Description

Experiments were carried out to examine the kinetics of growth of the dislocation loops of the interstitial type in aluminium irradiated in a high-voltage electron microscope at various temperatures. The experimental results are described theoretically using the kinetic theory. The factors of preference of the dislocations in respect of the absorption of interstitial atoms at various irradiation temperatures is estimated. The results show that the kinetics of growth of the interstitial loop depends strongly on the depth of these loops in the irradiated specimen. (author)
