A method and device for prestressing the plug of a nuclear reactor vessel

Description
The invention relates to the prestressing of a plug or obturator on its seat, achieved by associating the mechanical clamping of that plug with a thermal expansion. That method provides for the association of a plurality of means for mechanically clamping the plug to its seat, with means for temporarily modifying the lengths of the mechanical clamping means through at least one temperature variation. The invention can be applied to the low-power jacks for displacing locking wedges such as used with pressurized enclosures

L'invention se rapporte a la precontrainte d'un obturateur sur son siege associant au serrage mecanique un effet de dilatation thermique. Le procede prevoit l'assocaition d'une pluralite de moyens mecaniques de serrage de l'obturateur sur son siege, avec des moyens pour modifier temporairement sous l'action d'au moins une variation de temperature, la longueur des moyens mecaniques de serrage.
