The effect of magnetic field on thermopower of CeFe2
Description
The thermopower of MgCu2-type C15 Laves phase compound CeFe2 have been measured in the temperature range from 1.5 to 300 K under magnetic fields up to 15 T. Temperature dependence of S shows no distinct anomaly at TC in zero magnetic field and also in magnetic field. S is positive except low temperature. At low temperatures, S(T) curves are represented by S(T)=aT+bT3/2, where the coefficient of a shows no field dependence, on the other hand, b decreases with increasing magnetic field. It implies that the antiferromagnetic fluctuations have an important role at low temperatures
