Criticality monitoring device and fissile materials concentration measurement

Description

The device is based on neutron activation inducing nuclear reactions which are analyzed for quantitative analysis. It includes a first unit comprising a neutron source inside a block of hydrogenated materials and a first neutrons detector, a second unit comprising a block of hydrogenated materials contained inside materials stopping thermal neutrons and a second neutron detector inside the hydrogenated materials. The two blocks are placed on both sides of the monitored area
