Role of strong turbulence in high-frequency discharges of low pressure in magnetic field
- 1. RNTs Kurchatovskij Institut, Moscow (Russian Federation)
Description
Results of experimental and theoretical investigation into strong turbulence created by HF field in plasma of a beam-plasma discharge are presented. Modulation instability of high-frequency electric field, perpendicular to the constant magnetic field within the frequency range between the low-hybrid and ion Langmuir ones is studied. It is shown that low-frequency fields can be applied for the beam relaxation process control
