New facts about adsorption on PtO2 and RuO2

  • 1. Mendeleev Moscow Chemical-Technological Institute

Description

This paper studies the effect of anodic polarization in centrimolar dimethyl sulfoxide solution of CsNO3 and Na3PO4 containing 0.1 mass % H2O. With increasing anode potential, the adsorption of Cs+ decreased, and that of PO /SUP 3/4-/ increased because of a change of the oxide charge. The effect of temperature was studied on the adsorption of Cs+ and PO /SUP 3/4-/ in the range of 10-75 C in aqueous and dimethyl sulfoxide solutions (20-75 C). It was determined that the adsorption decreased with increasing electrolyte temperature. The adsorption was reversible with respect to temperature in a dimethyl sulfoxide solution
