Description
In a plasmatron of the proposed design, the plasma is stabilized by means of several stabilizing plates placed between the cathode and the anode and provided with suitably selected openings for the discharge channel. The plasma stream comes out of the anode through a nozzle provided with one or more feed inlets for working medium. The nozzle orifice is smaller than the stabilizing plate openings. This configuration guarantees long-term fail-safe plasmatron operation and high efficiency in feeding materials in all states. (J.U.)
