Description
The authors have embarked on an experimental program to study the vector analysing power iT11 in π-d scattering with a polarized deuterium target, in order to test and help to refine the existing scattering theories. In the course of this work - performed with the π-spectrometer at SIN - a limited set of iT11 data was obtained at several energies. In this contribution, new data on this observable are reported which were obtained with an improved polarized deuterium target and a different measuring technique. (Auth.)
