Formation of the dose burdens in farm animals after Chernobyl accident and the effect of animals evacuation on the absorbed doses
Description
Radionuclides composition, their concentration in forages and exposition dose rate after the Chernobyl accident are determined during farm animals evacuation outside the 30 km zone. Calculations are fulfiled of animal radiation doses from external radiation sources, incorporated in muscular tissues, gastrointestial tract and thyroid. The conclusion is made that ionizing radiation effect on the thyroid at doses about 230 Gy leads to patological variations of the thyroid. Animal evacuation efficiency is shown. 3 refs., 1 fig., 2 tabs
