Biological effects of nuclear radiation
Description
After a brief survey about the main radiobiological effects caused by ionizing radiation, human symptoms after irradiation and incorporation are shown. The special radiotoxic effect of radionuclides which are chemically associated with metabolism-specific elements such as calcium and potassium is shown and methods of treatment are indicated. (ORU)

Nach kurzem Eingehen auf die wesentlichen strahlenbiologischen Effekte durch ionisierende Strahlung werden Krankheitssymptome beim Menschen nach Bestrahlung und Inkorporation aufgezeigt. Die besondere radiotoxische Wirkung von Radionukliden, die mit stoffwechselspezifischen Elementen wie Kalzium und Kalium chemisch verwandt sind, wird angefuehrt und auf Behandlungsmethoden hingewiesen.
