Description
A study of LIII intensity ratios by using characteristic x-rays as the exciting radiation is described. Only the LIII subshells of Pb, Th and U were excited by the characteristic x-rays of the elements used as the secondary sources. A Ge(Li) detector system coupled to a programmable multi-channel analyser was used in the measurements. Intensity ratios of Pb, Th and U were determined by spectral analysis and were compared with recent theoretical and experimental results. (author)
