Kinetics of redox reactions of U, Np and Pu in TBP solutions
Description
An equation is presented, which describes the rate of Np(5) oxidation by nitrous acid in perchloric acid solution of TBP in benzene at 40 deg C. Activation energy E of the reaction is 86.8±3.3 kJ/mol. The reaction is limited by the slow stage of interaction of NpO2CjO4 molecules, not bound with TBP, with nitrosylperchlorate NpOClO4
