Description
Archaeological research was carried out on the young-paleolithic site Trencianske Bohuslavice - Monuments Board of the Slovak Republic in September 2008. The research was aimed at obtaining uncontaminated palaeontological material, which is the subject of geochemical analysis of isotopes (87Sr/86Sr isotope ratio of strontium to the issue of migration of warrantable animals during her lifetime, the ratio of oxygen isotopes for reconstruction of paleo-temperature and ratio of 18O/16O and 13C/12C isotope of carbon to determine paleo-food) and genetic analysis (the issue of relations between the mammoth and reindeer populations in Central Europe). Partial aim of the research was isolation of sedimentological, malakozoological and palynologic mollusc samples and also verification of stratigraphic conditions of the site, including the isolation of carbon from different archaeological layers and their subsequent sending for radiocarbon dating.
