Description

Since privatisation in 2006, the company Slovenske elektrarne underwent a significant transformation. From the company being in debt, today it is a competitive company that reliably covers two thirds of domestic energy consumption. The comprehensive recovery plan moved the company into those companies ranked among the top in the domestic market and, in the area of assessing the reliability of nuclear units, it is even a global leader. The nuclear power plants Bohunice V2 and Mochovce achieve excellent operation and safety results thanks to the projects of power up rate and shortening overhauls for refuelling. The Index of the Institute of Nuclear Power Operators ranked our four nuclear units in the top five VVER reactors.
