The vibrational spectra observed for lanthanide thenoyltrifluoroacetonate chelate compounds (TTA)/sub 4/LnQH (TTA-the anion of thenoyltrifluoroacetonate, Q-quionline, Ln-lanthanide) are discussed in detail, including a reasonable explanation of the deviation of Tb, Tm from the lanthanide ''inclined W effects''
