Complex formation of Es2+ with tetraphenylborate ion in acetonitrile and tetrahydrofuran

Description
Es2+ complex formation with tetrahydrophenyl ion in acetronitrile and in tetrahydrofuran is studied. Occurrence of CH3CN in the first coordination sphere promotes charge transfer from Es2+ ion to the unsaturated π-bonds of BPh4- phenyl groups and to complex formation related with this transfer. 10 refs., 3 figs., 2 tabs
