Electron microscopic morphometry of lung

Description

The volumetric and cell type distribution in alveolar lung of rat and hamster were similar, although statistically significant species differences were found for alveolar epithelium, capillary endothelium, and some noncellular interstitial components. No significant effect of inhaled 239PuO2 on lung composition could be demonstrated within either species
