Boron analysis in metallic materials by neutron-induced autoradiography

Description
The 10B(n/sub th/, α)7 Li nuclear reaction is used to analyse the boron distribution in aluminium casting strands. The sandwich arrangement of the sample and the dielectric track detector is described. A spacer between the sample and the solid-state track detector allows the quantitative determination of the boron content
