Description
The design, electronics, and manufacturing process are described for proportional chamber of three types, i.e. coordinate, shower-range and muonic ones, used in magnetic detector being developed for the oncoming beam experiments. The coordinate chambers are designed to measure particle trajectories and pulses, the shower-range ones, to determine particle paths and register γ-quanta, and also to measure electron and γ-quantum energies. The muonic chambers are designed for the identification of particles with long paths. Hybrid integral amplifier-formers feeding standard pulses to logic electronics located in control-panel room are mounted on the chambers. The logic section of electronics includes a delay monovibrator, gate circuit, and memory trigger. By usind a gold-plated tungsten wire 28 μm in diameter for making anodic planes it becomes possible to produce chambers without supports, having a size of 1 m with an anodic plane spacing of 2 mm
