The use of computing resources VISIPLAN 3D ALARA PLANNING TOOL for determination of radiological characteristics of the working environment

Description
In terms of radiation protection are the fundamental principles of ALARA procedures to ensure protection of workers against ionizing radiation. Application of these principles in practice is based on the original set of dosimetric measurements in the working areas and a subsequent proposal for conservation and organizational measures. In terms of radiation protection principles are ALAVISIPLAN 3D ALARA planning tool used to calculate the effective dose rate point-kernel method in which the RA source modelled a set of point sources. The resulting value of effective dose at a specified point is equal to the sum of effective doses from various point sources. Computing has been used in assessing the 'intrusion scenario deep repository'. Disruption scenario assumes a deep repository for geological works using the rig. Drill core (containing spent nuclear fuel) will be transported to the lab for analysis. The presence of a laboratory worker for a working 8 hours is assumed. For comparison, there were created models 'disturbances of deep geological repository' in 5 time periods 103, 104, 105, 106 and 107 years after the deposit. (author)
