Doubly differential ionization cross sections for H+ + He and He2+ + He collisions

Description

The classical-trajectory Monte Carlo method (CTMC) has been used to calculate doubly differential ionization cross sections for the angle and the energy of the ejected electrons. The calculations were performed at 100 keV/amu for the H+ + He and He2+ + He systems. The results exhibit the capture-to-the-continuum (CTC) peak and agree in both shape and magnitude with recent experimental data. The cross sections' dependence on the projectile charge is analyzed and found to be asymmetric with regard to the CTC peak. (orig.)
