Radiovisiographic evaluation of pilocarpol lesions

Radiodiagnostic, one of the most commonly used accessory investigative and imaging methods, is developing and it has recently become basic and everyday investigative method. Dental radiodiagnostic is today defined as 'dentist equals dental radiodiagnostician'. Radiovisiography (rvg) is a novel way of rtg image scanning straight to the computer monitor without using film and under condition of short exposure time (0.16-0.32 s). Rvg uses intraoral sensor (CCD) instead of rtg film. Rvg is composed of three parts. Radio - is the part which contains X-rays generator with microprocessor set up to short exposure time. This part also contains intraoral sensor. Visio - is the part of rvg unit which absorbs signal from CCD sensor during the exposure time. This signal is subsequently transformed into digital image in analog-digital convertor. Graphy - is the part which contains digital record saving unit coupled with output system (PC monitor, printer). (authors)
