Femtosecond laser-induced Kerr responses in liquid CS2

  • 1. Univ. of Toronto, Lash Miller Labs., Toronto M5S 1A1 (Canada)

Description

The authors report new results on the femtosecond optical Kerr response of liquid CS2, identifying three novel observations. Similar behavior is observed for other Kerr liquids, and these results are discussed briefly in the context of ultrafast relaxation phenomena intrinsic to liquids and the specific influence of field-induced-driven responses
