Description

Airborne Time-domain Electromagnetic Method (TEM) is one of the most effective methods to find the good conductivity of polymetallic ore deposit, and how to pick and evaluate the anomalies is the key to prospecting. Regardless of the occurrence, size and depth of the low resistivity plate, it can produce single or double peak in Z component dB/dt profile, which was concluded from forward modeling of theoretical modeling such as thin plate, thick plate and different depth plate. In view of the above, the airborne TEM anomaly can be divided into two types: the single peak and double peak according to the late Z component dB/dt curve, and the center of the anomaly is located at the value 0 of the X component dB/dt. Combined with the geological background and prospecting potential, the anomalies also can be classified into 3 categories: A, B and C, and class A can further be split into A1 and A2, class B can further be split into B1, B2 and B3. By using the methods of anomaly picking and evaluation, the structural altered rock type and magmatic liquation type deep concealed ore body in East Kunlun area of Qinghai province were successfully located.
