  • 1. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd., Energy and Environment, Nuclear Energy Systems Division, Kobe, Hyogo (Japan)

Description

After the severe accidents associated with station black out at Fukushima-1, the new nuclear regulations have been enacted in Japan, and new and additional requirements for onsite AC power supply systems were stipulated as well. In response to the above requirements, emergency gas turbine generators are often employed as newly onsite AC power source in Japan. This report introduces the emergency gas turbine generator for LWR plants which Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, LTD. (MHI) currently produces. (author)
