Atomic arrangement in molten chemical compounds

  • 1. Physics of Metal Department, Lvov State University, Lvov (Ukraine)

Description

The structure of liquid chemical compounds (Fe-Sn, Co-Sn, Cu-In) have been investigated with using of X-ray method. The temperature dependence of the short range order starting from the melting point is analyzed. There are essential changes in the structure of the investigated alloys. Transformation of structural factors in first maximum region is the main feature and is influence by micrononhomogenity in atomic arrangement. It is shown that chemically ordered groups of atom exist in wide temperature region. (author)
