Description

Indian Point 2 has implemented a nuclear plant chemistry programme based on a constant pH of 7.0. As a result of this programme, reductions have been observed in station personnel exposures; radwaste volumes; radiation fields; area surface contamination levels; and respiratory protection requirements. Studies are now under way on the possibilities for a further rise in pH to around 7.4. (author)
