Conversion electron, Auger electron and 'resonant' photoelectron production and transmission in 57Fe backscatter electron Moessbauer spectroscopy
Description
An analysis has been made, using Monte Carlo methods, of the transmission and detection of the resonant electrons produced in the de-excitation of 57Fe nuclei in a resonant absorber. Theories developed by previous workers are shown to contain some fundamental errors. Good agreement is obtained between the present theory and experiment. (orig.)
