Simulation modules of thermal processes for performance control of CHP plant with a gas turbine unit

  • 1. Institute of Power Engineering and Turbomachinery, Silesian University of Technology, Konarskiego 18, Gliwice (Poland)

Description

This paper presents a CHP plant with coal and gas fired sections. The power system consists of various units. The alteration of one of the units characteristics may significantly affect the operation of other units and of the whole system. Therefore the performance control is a very important task. The control system refers to three groups of steam and gas turbines processes. These are flow, thermal and strength processes. The last ones include the assessment of thermal stresses and the control of dynamic states. The paper describes simulation modules of the flow processes as well as the suggested structure of the diagnostic investigations
