Platinum metals as possible binders of high-melting carbides for special applications

Description
A summarizing review is given on investigated reaction equilibria and phases occuring in systems of high-melting carbides (IVa and Va metal carbides) with the platinum metals Ru, Rh and Pd. Besides basic problems of the reaction behaviour, possibilities of binding high-melting carbides with Pt metals are also clarified. (IHoe)

Es wird eine zusammenfassende Uebersicht gegeben ueber untersuchte Reaktionsgleichgewichte und auftretende Phasen in Systemen hochschmelzender Karbide (IVa- und Va-Metallkarbide) mit den Platinmetallen Ru, Rh und Pd. Neben grundsaetzlichen Fragen des Reaktionsverhaltens werden auch Moeglichkeiten, hochschmelzende Carbide mit Pt-Metallen abzubinden, beleuchtet. (IHoe)Additional details
