Phase composition and catalytic properties of bismuth molybdenum oxidic system in reaction of methanol oxidation are studied at temperature of 280-350 deg. Increase of selectivity according to formaldehyde is connected with formation of MoO3 solid solution in bismuth molybdate Bi2O3x3MoO3
