Report
Final disposal of nuclear waste. Local communities and the site selection process
Description
The purpose of this report is to give information about how the five local Swedish communities that have been involved in the plans for selecting a site for the Swedish repository for spent nuclear fuels, have planned their work. The information is primarily directed towards representatives for the local communities that in the future might get involved in the selection process. The report tries to answer questions like: Which decision stages can be foreseen? What possibilities - formal and real - exist for leaving the selection process at a later stage? What demands will arise for inquiries and for public information? What support can governmental agencies give?
