Design and construction of 4 hole ECR ion source for HIF injector

Description

We designed ECR (Electron Cyclotron Resonance) ion source that extract four equal beams from one chamber as a study of ion source for accelerator that has plurality of RFQ (Radio-Frequency Quadrupole) channels in one accelerating cavity for inertial confinement fusion. Solenoid coils for mirror magnetic field were designed by using Magnetic field calculation program OPERA. Extraction electrodes were designed by using Particle orbital calculation program FUGUN.
