Resolution of a sonic spark chamber applied in a magnetic spectrograph
Creators
Description
The spatial resolution of a spark sonic chamber is measured when using a collimated α-source. The estimates of the contribution of multiple scattering in the line width are obtained. It is shown that line broadening is mainly due to multiple scattering of registered particles during their passing of the inlet window and detector gas
